“And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision.” “[A]nd when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep . . ., and my face toward the ground.”
Imagine a vision (beyond sight / also tangibly experienced – where both present and past entities exist): A shining, robed group comes together in a subterranean area. As if taken there, one at the back of the gathering watches and listens. While the others stand over an alabaster casket with a hallowed form, they say “The secrets of John the Baptist are within this White Cross.” Thereafter, it was opened, and something could be heard (from beyond them): “The contents reveal to be . . . .” Next, Christ’s followers are searching on hillsides (after the resurrection), exclaiming “Jesus, Jesus” – in the air of “Where are you?” At the same time, but across from the latter, now as one traveling on a path among a small crowd of further followers, [he] relives looking just behind on a recent walk to glimpse at who was hidden, and sharing glances. Then, with a related yet distinctly different turmoil than the searchers, [he] said to another “I knew that it was Him. He told me not to say who He was.”
But the enemy I see Wears a cloak of decency All nonbelievers and men stealers talkin’ in the name of religion
West of the Jordan, east of the Rock of Gibraltar, I see the burning of the stage, Curtain risin’ on a new age, See the groom still waitin’ at the altar.
The order is rapidly fadin’ And the first one now will later be last For the times they are a-changin’
Out in the streets inspiration comes hard The joker in the deck keeps handin’ me his card Smilin’ friendly he takes me in Then breaks my back in a game I can’t win Jivin, hustlin, what’s it all about? Everybody always wants the easy way out Thirty golden pieces for the Judas kiss What’s a nice boy doin’ in a place like this?
Never Surrender – keep your dreams alive Never Surrender – hold your head up high
Modern apathetics, you got plenty of nothing to say Some are born to follow, some will make their own way Today you found a hero, tomorrow you’ll forget You’re lookin’ for convenient truth, you haven’t found it yet You don’t make commitments, no time for regrets Easy come and easy go and easy to forget You don’t ever take responsibility Don’t you know that part of you is part of me
Never Surrender, it’s easier said than done But you got to finish what’s already begun Never, that’s forever, seems like such a long time But I only got one life to live – It’s gonna be mine
Never Surrender – keep your dreams alive Never Surrender – hold your head up high Never Surrender – we cannot be denied Never Surrender – spread your wings and fly
Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
So many nights I’d sit by my window Waiting for someone To sing me his song So many dreams I’ve kept deep inside me Alone in the dark But now you’ve come along
And you Light up my life You give me hope To carry on You light up my days And fill my nights With song
Give me love Give me love Give me peace on earth Give me light Give me life Keep me free from birth Give me hope Help me cope, with this heavy load Trying to, touch and reach you with, heart and soul
OM M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M My Lord . . .
PLEASE take hold of my hand, that I might understand . . .
There’s got to be a morning after
If we can hold on through the night
We have a chance to find the sunshine
Let’s keep on looking for the light
Oh, can’t you see the morning after?
It’s waiting right outside the storm
Why don’t we cross the bridge together
And find a place that’s safe and warm?
It’s not too late, we should be giving
Only with love can we climb
It’s not too late, not while we’re living
Let’s put our hands out in time
There’s got to be a morning after
We’re moving closer to the shore
I know we’ll be there by tomorrow
And we’ll escape the darkness
We won’t be searching anymore
There’s got to be a morning after
(There’s got to be a morning after)
There’s got to be a morning after
One may have seen (and lived) what was not meant to be spoken of. Still, through writing, there is another way. What was pictured, what was sent, what was undergone, was to be of what will be. Through this, while looking and living forward, what was shared can be shared – as a voicebeyond a tongue.
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Waiting, in a psalmist sense, may lead to an arrival of bestowment all at once. Along the way of perseverance, we may also be fulfilled in steps after steps – where the promised gift is an eventual culmination. From the onset of this spirit, our knowing, our believing, and our faith may withstand any rising mountains – where we, ultimately, realize a lifting beyond each one.
God and Jesus do not work with, or through, lies; that would be “a house divided.” They tell us the Truth; it is only within this that we are meant to hear, to be moved – forward. To see what is provided, clearly, to know what is beneath and beyond present[ed] cloaks, is Their calling – that our learning may lead to teaching[s] after (perspective) silence[s]. Ask, question, discern: What reality is being, or has been, put forth (to follow)? What is the originating base? What are the goals? Take the original Fact of this assertion – and be guided only within those directions. When answers are of undoubted division, reject and rebuke that house. Then, strengthen your own – that it may be one (continuously built upon).
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”
To whom also he shewed himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle.
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain
There’s an army rising up ( – We won’t keep silent)
There’s an army rising up
There’s an army rising up
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain
Declare that the chains are broken –
By the power that’s in the name of Jesus
Every chain of bondage …
I hear the chains falling
I hear the chains falling
I hear the chains falling
I hear the chains falling
I hear the chains falling
I hear the chains falling
Break – Chain – Break –
The power of life and death is in your tongue
(We) Command it: “Break” – “Chain” –
“We command you – to break”
And if you feel that you can’t go on
And your will’s sinking low
Just believe, and you can’t go wrong
In the light, you will find the road
You will find the road
Hey, did you ever believe that I could leave you
Standing out in the cold
Yeah, baby, I know how it feels cause I have slipped through
To the very depths of my soul
Oh-baby, I just want to show you what a clear view
It is from every bend in the road
Now listen
Oh, whoa-whoa, as I was and really would be for you, too.
As you would for me, I would share your load
Let me share your load
Ooh, let me share, share your load
And if you feel that you can’t go on
In the light, you will find the road
The the winds of change may blow around you
But that will always be so When love is pain it can devour you, but you are never alone I will share your load, I will share your load Baby, let me, oh, let me
In the light
Everybody needs the light
Ooh, baby. Everybody, everybody, everybody
Light, light, light, in the light
Light, light, light, in the light
Light, light, light, in the light
You were all the rays of sunlight
Shining O’ to me
Every colour of the rainbow
I was blessed by high decree
You were every moment’s magic
Joy beyond compare
You were all the rays of sunlight
I was lost without a care
Victims of the fury Shadows in the dark Victims of the fury Arrows found their mark
So we lived our days in rapture
Like the world could never end
We weren’t thinking ‘bout the future
We had time enough to spend We were blessed as though in heaven We were messengers of joy There were angels all around us
There was none who would destroy
Then the world collapsed around us
And the tables overturned We were lambs before the slaughter We were driven out and burned Yes the world collapsed around us
And the archers found their mark
We were victims of the fury
We were shadows in the dark
In the name of Jesus:
I was lost;
I was found –
I was saved.
In the name of Jesus:
I found Love;
I found peace – As He gave.
In the name of Jesus:
When we find the songs –
Then we sing –
In His Name.
This is why we sing:
For the truth (as given).
This is why we sing.
When we find Your truth;
When we know,
We sing to the Holy –
As we follow.
Peace – as I was saved;
Filled – as He lifted –
I was gifted;
In Your Love, I was reborn.
In the name of Jesus –
I was found;
I was saved;
I am Loved.
Apocrypha: The Song of The Three Holy Children
AND they walked in the midst of the fire, praising God, and blessing the Lord. O all ye winds, bless ye the Lord: and exalt him above all for ever.
The Odes of Solomon: Ode 6
As the wind glides through the harp and the strings speak, So the Spirit of the Lord speaks through my members, and I speak through His love.
Jesus: The Son of Man: Joseph – Surnamed Justus They say that only the wind combed His hair, and only the rain brought His clothes and His body together. They deem Him mad, and they attribute His words to demons. Yet behold, the Man despised sounded a challenge and the sound thereof shall never cease. He sang a song and none shall arrest that melody. It shall hover from generation to generation and it shall rise from sphere to sphere remembering the lips that gave it birth and the ears that cradled it.
Prayed in the ghetto with my face in the cement,
Heard the last moan of a boxer, seen the massacre of the innocent
Felt around for the light switch, became nauseated.
She was walking down the hallway while the walls deteriorated.
Try to be pure at heart, they arrest you for robbery,
Mistake your shyness for aloofness, your silence for snobbery,
Got the message this morning, the one that was sent to me
About the madness of becomin’ what one was never meant to be.
Don’t know what I can say about Claudette that wouldn’t come back to haunt me,
Finally had to give her up ’bout the time she began to want me.
But I know God has mercy on them who are slandered and humiliated.
I’d a-done anything for that woman if she didn’t make me feel so obligated.
Put your hand on my head, baby, do I have a temperature?
I see people who are supposed to know better standin’ around like furniture.
There’s a wall between you and what you want and you got to leap it,
Tonight you got the power to take it, tomorrow you won’t have the power to keep it.
West of the Jordan, east of the Rock of Gibraltar,
I see the burning of the stage, Curtain risin’ on a new age,
See the groom still waitin’ at the altar.
Cities on fire, phones out of order,
They’re killing nuns and soldiers, there’s fighting on the border.
What can I say about Claudette?
Ain’t seen her since January,
She could be respectably married or running a whorehouse in Buenos Aires.
West of the Jordan, west of the Rock of Gibraltar,
I see the burning of the stage,
Curtain risin’ on a new age,
See the groom still waitin’ at the altar.
Walking alone through the desert sands
In a blinding light someone reaching out their hands
I saw the black of the midnight sky
Turning blood red right before my eyes
I’m simply mystified
A soul electrified
I feel a yearning within
As the spirit kicks in
The earth stands still as I shake Before my maker’s face
There’s no time, no space
My body elevates
I see my world collide
I feel so alive
This might be my last
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Walking on water in a raging storm
I could see the face of a man with a crown of thorns
In the distance I can hear a voice
And it’s calling me, it’s calling me
To testify No need to justify
I feel a heavenly wind
Like a breath on my skin
The earth stands still as I shake Before my maker’s face
There’s no time, no space
My body elevates
I see my world collide
I feel so alive
This might be my last
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
The earth stands still as I shake Before my maker’s face
There’s no time, no space
My body elevates
I see my world collide
I feel so alive
This might be my last
Hallelujah
This might be my last
I feel so alive
Hallelujah
This might be my last
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Go ahead and talk about him because he makes you doubt
Because he has denied himself the things that you can’t live without
Laugh at him behind his back just like the others do
Remind him of what he used to be when he comes walkin’ through
He’s the property of Jesus
Resent him to the bone
You got something better
You’ve got a heart of stone
Stop your conversation when he passes on the street
Hope he falls upon himself, oh, won’t that be sweet
Because he can’t be exploited by superstition anymore
Because he can’t be bribed or bought by the things that you adore
He’s the property of Jesus
Resent him to the bone
You got something better
You’ve got a heart of stone
When the whip that’s keeping you in line doesn’t make him jump
Say he’s hard-of-hearin’, say that he’s a chump
Say he’s out of step with reality as you try to test his nerve
Because he doesn’t pay no tribute to the king that you serve
He’s the property of Jesus
Resent him to the bone
You got something better
You’ve got a heart of stone
Say that he’s a loser ’cause he got no common sense
Because he don’t increase his worth at someone else’s expense
Because he’s not afraid of trying, ’cause he don’t look at you and smile
’Cause he doesn’t tell you jokes or fairy tales, say he’s got no style
He’s the property of Jesus
Resent him to the bone
You got something better
You’ve got a heart of stone
You can laugh at salvation, you can play Olympic games
You think that when you rest at last you’ll go back from where you came
But you’ve picked up quite a story and you’ve changed since the womb
What happened to the real you, you’ve been captured but by whom?
He’s the property of Jesus
Resent him to the bone
You got something better
You’ve got a heart of stone
At the same time[s], be aware: The truth is in seeking. Once we, in
tandems with the spirit, have sought to “overcome” to certain utmost degrees, remaining abilities may then need to be given over to the Trinity. Therein, these are not failures, for within we are still won.
