Jubilant protestors react to the news that Bloomberg backed down (at least temporarily) in their fight to continue the OCCUPY WALL STREET! movement (with a base at Zuccotti/Liberty Park). “Sanitation” was a blatant ruse Hosni Mubarak would have used (and everyone knew it):
When the Tahir Square protest took place in Egypt, the (eventual) supporting cry was (in essence) “We are all Egyptians now!” When Americans/U.S. citizens decide to “Walk Like an Egyptian,” it’s time to blanket the media outlets with paid-off hacks/actors like Erin Burnett (“Seriously”: CNN/Fox = same) and Rep. Peter King (“Do Not Allow Any Legitimacy For Wall Street Protests, Or It Will Be Like 1960s Again”), then follow that up with an excuse via NY (billionaire) Mayor ( “Trying to Destroy Jobs”) Bloomberg to Sanitize the park — in order to shut out/down their “Walk.” The world (and beyond) has been watching all of the revealing actions.
Re: “Does anyone know . . . how they ARE managing sanitation?”
Clearly, the NY protesters were, and are, “managing” the sanitation situation in an honorable fashion. For instance, they have even coordinated their own clean up crews. Yet, would you have asked the same question (for debate) if Hosni Mubarak had actually used the “sanitation” angle/tactic? If he had done so, the world would have known that it was a ruse to undermine the rising protest. That element (sanitation) is a red herring. For curiosity, it works as a fleeting question. But, as a focus, it only serves to fulfill the propagandistic goals of those who wanted it (the question) to be central. Refer to “12 Most Absurd Laws Used to Stifle the Occupy Wall St. Movement Around the Country.” In that article you will see “measures the authorities are using to discourage, deter and crack down on peaceful protests.” Of note, among other obvious “roadblocks,” 9) No Potties: “Occupy Dallas protesters have been walking a half-mile to use the nearest toilet since they started camping out in Pioneer Plaza because they could not afford the $1 million permit that would have allowed them to bring in a Porta-Potty. Now, that is commitment!”
Ask yourself, is needing a $1 million permit reasonable? Or, is it part of a blatant goal to “discourage, deter and crack down”?
Here, there is (supposed to be) a 1st Amendment: “the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” When “Absurd Laws” or sabotaging “measures” are put forth in such a manner as to obviously override the latter, it is time to stand up and speak out – even more. Further, during those times in which the clarity of the abuses (absurdity) becomes absolutely clear, it is crucial to not give validity to their methods by asking the very questions that the saboteurs provided as a means to undermine the dissenting movements.
Stand like Jesus and Gandhi. Speak like MLK.
Walk Like An Egyptian.
“Nonviolence does not mean meek submission to the will of the evil doer, but it means the pitting of one’s whole soul against the will of the tyrant. Working under this law of our being, it is possible for a single individual to defy the whole might of an unjust empire to save his honour, his religion, his soul and lay . . . the foundations for that empire’s fall or its regeneration.” Gandhi
Instead of “a single individual,” imagine millions — in honorable defiance.
Inspired by America’s “Occupy Wall Street” and Spain’s “Indignants”, people took to the streets in a rolling action targeting 951 cities in 82 countries from Asia to Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Left out in the Bail Outs? Final straws as the colluding monopolies continue to pilfer us out of existence (at 30% rates)? Have they eased lending? Or, have most dominant lenders used their propped-up fortunes (borrowed at 0.25% rates) to expand (take) – without giving anything back (as supposedly intended)?
Credit Unions and Community Banks: Send a Message
These reactions from Bank of America and Citibank, etc. are revealing in many fashions. Among them:
1) Their pure disdain for common people (even if middle-class) as customers.
2) Their actual elitist attitudes toward the law (i.e. they are above it and unaccountable).
3) Proof that they will create false pretenses to have customers arrested, while . . . (see #2).
4) Evidence that those among the “We Are the 99%” crowd are essentially trash, in their eyes.
5) In spite of #4, the Movement to Move Your Money has them quaking, somewhat.
6) With #5 being true, continue growing the Movement — and following through with a Move.
7) Your Voices are being Heard/Your Actions are having an Impact.

The point being: if you miss a few home payments, you have a very high likelihood of colliding with a police officer in the near future. But if you defraud a pair of European banks out of a billion dollars — that’s a billion, with a b — you will never be arrested, never see a policeman, never see the inside of a jail cell.
Your settlement will be worked out not with armed police, but with regulators in suits who used to work for your company or one like it. And you’ll have, defending you, a former head of that regulator’s agency. In the end, a fine will be paid to the government, but it won’t come out of your pocket personally; it will be paid by your company’s shareholders. And there will be no admission of criminal wrongdoing.

Bill Moyers: Our Politicians Are Money Launderers Not Too Different From Tony Soprano
Case in point: “A number of Illinois corporations are threatening to leave the state unless their taxes are cut and state government is reduced in size.” Watch Out America, Some Greedy Companies May Be Headed Your Way
1) Almost everything you see or hear is based on a continuance of what I call “The Big Lies Campaign” – which Bill Moyers clarified as ongoing for decades.
2) Holding the country and its citizens hostage is only the next step in their blatant boldness (without shame): “threatening to leave the state unless. . . .”
3) Truth: “But Illinois corporate taxes are NOT too high. . . .” “For 20 of the largest Illinois corporations, with a total of $157 billion in net income, only $3.5 billion was paid in total state taxes.” “That’s a 2.2% tax rate.”
“The following is a list of the twenty companies with their effective 3-year state tax rates:

Report: Corporate Taxpayers and Corporate Tax Dodgers “A report issued today by Citizens for Tax Justice and the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy shows that 78 out of 280 of America’s most profitable companies paid no federal income tax in at least one of the last three years. Thirty of these companies paid a ‘less than zero’ rate between 2008 and 2010.”
Anonymous: “We need cuts, and more cuts, and more cuts, and more bailouts after the last bailouts – while we continue to reap more than ever before in the history of this country – and while we continue to keep wages at 1978 levels, continue to outsource, continue to exploit workers as ‘temporaries’ through ‘Staffing’ companies (unlivable pay, no rights, no benefits, no retirement, no raises, cycled through as a business model), continue to ship jobs to Third World countries for slave labor, and continue turning this country into the next Third World – because it fits directly into the expositions of Bill Moyers speech (of which we are proud: ‘to cut government . . . down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub’). We are the 1% – as God ordained. And, when we are finished with this global crisis (created by many of us on purpose), the world and its masses can finally be reordered into ‘proper’ places and positions.”
Mayor Bloomberg, Gov. Cuomo Deaf to Suffering Masses as Occupy Wall Street Movement Grows “What is the morality in refusing to raise taxes for those swimming in cash while cutting services to the least fortunate?”
Anonymous answers: “If you are trying to reveal that our mission could not be God ordained because there is no ‘morality’ involved, maybe you just don’t realize that the God we (actually) serve has no problem with immorality, blasphemy, sanctity, lying, twisted justice, or rampant and escalating suffering. It’s all about achieving the Goal (see my last statement). Once you understand this, we can move on to the next levels of War. In time, we will see whose (PR) campaign wins?”
The 1% Are the Very Best Destroyers of Wealth the World Has Ever Seen! [I]t seems to me that if you have psychopathic tendencies and are born to a poor family, you’re likely to go to prison. If you have psychopathic tendencies and are born to a rich family, you’re likely to go to business school.”
“What has happened over the past 30 years is the capture of the world’s common treasury by a handful of people, assisted by neoliberal policies which were first imposed on rich nations by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.” “Between 1947 and 1979, productivity in the US rose by 119%, while the income of the bottom fifth of the population rose by 122%. But from 1979 to 2009, productivity rose by 80%, while the income of the bottom fifth fell by 4%. In roughly the same period, the income of the top 1% rose by 270%.”
Between 1979 and 2009, what happened to the cost of living? Quadrupled? At least. In 1988 (this area of the country), a nice one bedroom (1100 square feet) apartment with a den and fireplace was rented for $265.00 a month. The same one now? $650.00, minimum. Those types of figures go across the board in every avenue. And, wages in relation to the same jobs during that period rose how much?
This entire environment (economics = Enron worldwide/societal = Ayn Rand) was consciously structured, meticulously planned, and maliciously followed through.
Anonymous Provides a Guide:
Budget Surpluses?
Reduce taxes to such a point that you can create a Deficit Crisis. Then, use that leverage (“Shock Doctrine”) to privatize everything, slash all public programs, public employees, unions, bargaining, rights, etc. Next, implement Emergency Managers to override any elected people who do not serve the maniacal line.
Regulations?
Deregulate (through a bought-off government) until they resemble pre-1929 levels. Then, after crashing the entire world (consciously), continue screaming and PRing via paid hacks strewn and planted within all corrupted levels that our Free Market needs even fewer regulations if it is ever to upright itself.
Voting?
Just start stealing the elections outright. If Florida-type illegality doesn’t work, push it to the (stacked) Supreme Court. (They will provide.) If there is even a doubt, just boldly rig the results through computer flipping (Ohio = poster child since 2004).
Wars?
Decide where you want one. Create false charges, false evidence, and tortured confessions to back that up. Then, use that leverage as a “Shock Doctrine” to be rammed down the people’s throats via screaming and PRing paid hacks – strewn and planted within all corrupted levels. If the Wars cost Trillions – the more the better.
ETC.
Occupy: Finding Freedom in Handcuffs
Another ultimate representation of the 1%’s mindset: New York Mayor Bloomberg on Morning Joe: “It’s a whole bunch of people that are just disinf-disaffected. They don’t know what’s wrong. They say, ‘we don’t know what we want but we want it now,’ which I think is as good a way of saying it as anything. That it’s not their job to solve the problems, it’s the job of the government and the press and those of us that have some insight on how policies affect people.”
Anonymous Interprets:
It’s a whole bunch of [awakening, rebellious, hippie-type, rising up sheep] that are just disinf[ecting themselves from us – oops, I mean] disaffected [from our plutocratic – and justified – superiority]. They say, [well, of course, what I am about to quote is a classic propaganda approach/technique of the controlling elite – where the quote is purposely unreflective of documented reality and manipulatively self-serving to our varied interests, part of those being to degrade their voices and messages of truth, with, of course again, truth being essential to what we always seek to control the presentations of] ‘we don’t know what we want but we want it now,’ which I think is as good a way of [propagandizing] it [and burying their goals in Controlled-Media dirt] as anything. That it’s not their job to solve [anything, or to learn, anything – other than what they are directed to learn, or to see, or to think they are solving – or to even speak of – unless they are told what to say, when to say it, and how to say it – like the Tea Partiers], it’s the job of the [corporately bought-off and totally rigged] government and the [corporate-elite] press and those of us [1% Billionaires, Wall Street Executives, Hedge Fund managers, and members of the FED, etc.] that have some insight [in the real world – OURS] on how [OUR forced] policies affect [the Little] people [beneath US].
Side Note: During the growing OWS movement, with the Winter approaching, and while the entire system/country continues crashing (through Austerity, and Enron Deregulation), Mayor “1%” Bloomberg Tries to Make it Harder for Homeless to Get Into Shelters.
Without a Doubt: OWS:
“Such a movement cannot be evicted. Some politicians may physically remove us from public spaces – our spaces – and, physically, they may succeed. But we are engaged in a battle over ideas. Our idea is that our political structures should serve us, the people – all of us, not just those who have amassed great wealth and power. You cannot evict an idea whose time has come.”
“To occupy is to embody the spirit of liberation that we wish to manifest in our society. It is to exercise our freedom to assemble. We are creating space for community, values, ideas, and a level of meaningful dialogue that is absent in the present discourse. Liberated space is breaking free of isolation, breaking down the walls that literally and figuratively separate us from one another. It is a new focus on community, trust, love and hope. We occupy to create a vision of equality, liberty and social justice onto the blank paving stones of public parks, in the silent hallways of abandoned schools, banks, and beyond.”
The Christian Spirit Rests with Occupy Protestors
“Jesus went and occupied Jerusalem. Martin Luther King Jr. went and occupied Memphis. I am convinced that today the Christian spirit rests with those who occupy sites across the United States. . . .”
Whether or not Naomi Wolf has all the proof she needs (at present) to satisfy Joshua Holland’s needs, an undeniably coordinated “Crackdown,” which most assuredly Coincided with DHS influence, has taken, and is still taking, place. This could not be more Obvious. Combining current undeniable facts with the most Basic likelihoods when the revelations are so clear that it is slapping everyone in the face does not equate as a “logical leap.” In a fight for Truth, it fulfills the ultimate boldness of a journalist. Why, in this environment, Joshua feels so compelled to trash these efforts in the larger question in this particular (manipulated) debate.

Study Shows That High Gas Prices Do Reduce Driving, Encourage Use of Alternatives
It truly sickens and saddens me to see such a promotion in Care2. During this, a worldwide Depression (purposely brought about by Enron-type manipulation), where millions upon millions are out of work here, maybe permanently, the entire society is also being Gouged in an ongoing manner by way of gas/fuel price Speculation — which has kept the price at least 40% above norms, for years. If you are somehow unaware of this, visit Senator Sanders’ site. If you are aware (which is most likely), but don’t care because it (bankrupting the populace through fraudulent speculation) helps to promote alternative energy, then you are a clear part of the 1% Neoliberal “control the population through manipulated taxation/finances” problem.
@ Julie D.: You are welcome. Indeed, “it is the middle class, elderly, disabled and working poor who are doing the cutting back” — because they are being gouged via speculation into bankruptcy (while wages remain manipulated at 1979 levels). As you stated, these types of Regressive attacks do not affect the wealthy. Instead, they are direct oppressions on the backs of the middle to the lowest classes. Further, at this point in a Depression that will only escalate exponentially through PRed “Austerity” and more bold Lies of “Shared Sacrifice,” where would one need to be in the middle to upper-middle classes in order to invest in the newest hybrid vehicles? The bottom line: neoliberals who take advantage of such situations in order to mold the populace like blind sheep on a graph are no better than the lunatic fringe republicans who wish to cement us back into Gilded and pre-Magna Carta Ages.
Side note: Imagine our government (if it were not corrupted) taking action against the speculators on Wall Street in the gas/fuel scenario like Senator Sanders is fighting for. Then, in combination with gas prices automatically lowering by 40% or more, imagine those middle and lower class people having more money to spend. That would boost the entire economy (without endlessly padding/subsidizing through fraud the oil companies’ $trillions). Next, and in combination with the latter/former, imagine our government (if it were not corrupted) providing for the green/hybrid/electric vehicle market/businesses like it provided for the Banks ($1 trillion publicly/$16 trillion at least in secret), or even like Eisenhower’s Federal-Aid Highway Acts. Then, one would Not have to imagine a hybrid or electric vehicle that would be affordable to Everyone; it would be a reality. Of course, with this level of corporate collusion, which has taken over every avenue of our system, the likelihood of ever seeing that reality is about as possible as Senator Sanders becoming President.
